The friendless teenager Peter (Andrew Garfield) spends his time trying to unravel the mystery of his past and trying to win the heart of his high school crush Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone). A mysterious suitcase from his father, who abandoned him in childhood, leads Peter to his father's old partner, Dr. Connors. The discovery of his father's secret will define his destiny to transform into 'Spider-Man' and bring him face to face with Connors' villainous alter ego, the Lizard.
